Following the registration, a briefing is held at 6:00 pm to inform participants about the tournament rules, schedules, and safety protocols. The day concludes with a social gathering, featuring a free bar, allowing participants to mingle, relax, and gear up for the competitive days ahead.

The Bimini Start of the Spice Island Billfish Tournament is a visually stunning and exhilarating kickoff. This event begins early in the morning, with a Parade of Boats through the Carenage, starting at 6:45 am. This parade is a spectacle, showcasing the participating vessels in a display of maritime pride and excitement as they proceed toward the start line. At 7:30 am, the Bimini Start officially commences, marking the beginning of the day’s fishing activities.
